Baltimore’s multidisciplinary artist BlissArmyKnife debuts on Leaving with self-directed/self-produced “wishicanmakeuptime”. The artist interwove themselves within the Los Angeles music community around 2022 through working various Leaving Records park shows while living in LA - ultimately befriending LR founderperson Matthewdavid and becoming his favorite painter. Initially introduced as poet/rapper/producer, they now embody a sample-based sonic signature through an androgynous musical persona that speaks to hip-hop tendencies and ear-worm song quirk.
